LAMINATED 1 PIECE HUDSON RIVER CHART This laminated map includes all of the tidewater Hudson River from the George Washington Bridge at New York City north to the head of tidewater at the Federal Lock at Troy. It is a compilation of the different NOAA navigation charts of the river, printed both front and the back, with the addition of locations for launch ramps, gasoline and marinas. Unfortunately it is lacking the more-precise shallower water detail that bass fishermen are always looking for, but is the only way to get the northern section of the Hudson on a fishing map. Since this map is laminated we do not like to ship it by mail and prefer to sell it at the store. Its cost is $21.55 (tax included). If you must have it mailed include an additional $6.00 for shipping but bear in mind that it will be folded and the lamination WILL BE CREASED along the folds.

TROUT MAP – ESOPUS & SCHOHARIE CREEKS Some years back the Catskill Mountains Chapter of Trout Unlimited put out a “map and guide” to the Esopus Creek (Ulster County) and Schoharie Creek (Greene County). This waterproof chart has a creek shown on each side and marks the better trout pools to be found as well as showing parallel and crossing roadways to help you find the locations more easily. After selling this map for over 10 years we were informed a few years ago that it would be going out of print when the Catskill Mountains Chapter’s supply ran out. We immediately bought out their remaining stock and what we have is “all there is.” If you want one, the cost is $7.55 (tax included) at the shop; if you want it mailed to you, add $5.00 for shipping. (The group also sold advertising to be placed on the map, but many of these advertised shops no longer exist – so don’t go looking for them.) SORRY - AS OF NOW THIS MAP IS SOLD OUT AND NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

HIKING MAP – “CATSKILL TRAILS” This 5-piece map set is put out by the well-respected “New York-New Jersey Trail Conference” association and covers most of the Catskill Forest Preserve contained within Sullivan, Ulster, Delaware and Greene Counties. The maps themselves are waterproof, tear-resistant, and easily foldable to pocket size. They show streams, contours, mountain and points-of-interest names along with marked (and many unmarked) trails. Included on the back of each map is a printed mileage/descriptive summary of each trail. Cost at the shop is $15.07 (tax included); add $6.00 for priority mail.

This is one map out of our Catskill Creek Map book
TIDEWATER CATSKILL CREEK MAP BOOK
This creation of the River Basin Sport Shop has undergone a rather dramatic revision during the past 3 years. Now the maps are colorized... and we decided to laminate them, making them waterproof. This revised edition (2005) is NOW AVAILABLE for sale. The cost at the shop is $19.95 (plus tax), by mail add $7.50 to cover tax and shipping.
The “GUIDE TO THE TIDEWATER CATSKILL CREEK” consists of 18 pages of charts detailing the main fishing structures in this waterway. These charts contain depths, bottom contours, hazards, weed bed locations, bottom composition and some landmarks. We have also added a small descriptive to most of the pages for more information.
Since we are constantly trying to update the information on some section or other on these creek maps, and are reluctant to put out a non-updated copy, this creation is often not available.
2008 TIDE BOOK
This is an in-house production listing the April 1st thru November 15th tide times for 4 different locations on the tidal Hudson - Albany, Catskill, Saugerties and Kingston. A reference guide to determine tides for other locations is also given; also included is a sunrise/sunset time chart extending thru November 20th. It's a convenient item to have on hand when planning a river excursion. Cost at the shop is $4.86 (tax included), shipping is extra.

LOCAL FISH IDENTIFICATION BOOK Tired of trying to identify species of fish from descriptions such as “large and greenish,” we decided that there had to be a better way. So, a few years ago we started producing a booklet called the "FISH IDENTIFICATION GUIDE FOR CATSKILL, N.Y., GREENE COUNTY, AND IMMEDIATE VICINITY.” This works out real well. Included therein are full color illustrations for more than 60 different species of fish that can be captured locally; also included for each specie are descriptions, locations and fishing suggestions. 12 pages, each page hard laminated so as to be waterproof - $19.95 at the shop plus $1.60 tax; add $7.50 if you want it mailed out. ************************************
